Weight Loss Success Stories
The first of my weight loss success stories is based on my own real-life experiences. You see, I wasn’t always fit and healthy. I was a sedentary, out-of-shape businessman. When I wasn’t sitting behind a desk or in a meeting, I was in the car traveling to my next destination. Donuts for breakfast (if I ate breakfast at all), fast food lunches, and a quick, processed-food meal for dinner. I would park myself in front of the TV noshing on chips and cookies until I collapsed into bed. As a former child athlete, I would be out of breath climbing the stairs.I realize that most weight loss success start this way, but it’s a way to get the point across that I finally said “enough”! This is not how I want to live my life. That is the first step in changing your life, knowing what you don’t want. You can’t stop there, if you want to write your own weight loss success stories. The Search for Answers Having been interested in health and nutrition all of my life (even though I didn’t practice it), I knew that I had to get active again. I found my walking partner in a Siberian Husky. He was always ready. No excuses like “its cold out”, “it’s raining” or “I don’t feel like it”. He was ready to go with the shake of a leash.Like you, I searched the internet for weight loss information. I was armed with the knowledge that “fad diets” were not going to do it for me. I looked at other people’s weight loss success stories and thought “if all these people are successful, why is obesity rising”? That’s when I knew that just going on a diet plan without permanently changing my lifestyle would result in the same yo-yo dieting that many other people are on. If I was going to make it onto the permanent weight loss successful stories list, I was going to have to profoundly change my lifestyle. Where Did I Find the Answers? I started with the Abs Diet written by the Editor-in-Chief of Men’s Health David Zinczenko. It introduced me to proper nutrition and fat-burning foods. I went to the grocery store and stocked up with these foods. It emphasizes whole, natural foods and the elimination of processed foods.I’ll tell you, it didn’t take long for changes to take place. My energy levels increased, my clothes were looser, and I started to feel good again. I purchased some weights and a home gym. I’m now a lean 175 pounds with more than enough energy. I have achieved the honor of being a part of the many weight loss success stories. I’ll be honest with you; it took a lot of work. Changing your habits is a difficult process and takes perseverance to make the new ones stick. Success is the result of a series of small wins. Three steps forward and one step back is a good analogy. As long as you’re making forward progress, success is yours. Will I be reading one of your weight loss success stories next time? I’ll be watching for it.
