To achieve quick weight loss, there are many short-term diet plans to choose. Most of these diets are for the short-term as they are not nutritionally sound for the long-term. In fact they may do more harm than good over the long-term. After you reach your weight loss goals, you will want to move onto a healthy diet plan that provides you with all the essential nutrients required for a healthy body.

Of all the diet plans that I have reviewed, this is the most nutritionally sound meal plan that offers quick weight loss.

The Zone Diet

Another popular diet for weight loss is the Zone Diet. The diet is based on providing you with a nutritionally sound weight loss program to begin a healthy lifestyle. It is designed to work with your body’s natural hormonal response. It is useful for long-term weight maintenance after your initial weight is lost.

It focuses on lean protein, plenty of fruits and vegetables, and healthy fats. It not only causes you to lose weight, it improves heart and brain function as well as promoting a healthy immune system.

It is designed to be used in conjunction with a consistent exercise program to enable fast weight loss.

I like that it designates the plan as a moderate-carb, moderate-fat and moderate-protein diet. As opposed to most diet plans that promote low-carb or low-fat, they promote a balanced program. This makes sense as you require a wide range of foods to acquire all of the nutrients your body needs.

Tips for Permanent Weight Loss

To achieve and maintain your ideal weight, you need to make a permanent change to your eating habits. Plain and simple, that’s what they are; eating habits. We tend to buy and eat the same foods week after week. We go to the sections of the grocery store and purchase the same foods.
