The Master Cleanse Secrets - A New Approach to an Old Diet
BACKGROUND The Master Cleanse Secrets diet has been around for decades. The idea is to fast and only drink an unusual concocted lemonade that is said to detoxify and rejuvenate your body. You are supposed to drink six to eight glasses per day. In the old program, food was forbidden, but with the diet being so restricted, many people could not follow through on the diet. The old program had many negative side effects which included lasting hunger and headaches, along with some different looking bowel movements. The new program allows certain foods that you are allowed to eat and a protein supplement to ensure that your body will not feed on itself. The recipe for this lemonade is as follows: 2 tbsp organic lemon juice 2 tbsp of organic grade B maple syrup 1/10 tsp ground cayenne pepper 10 oz filtered water
The new program promises that the diet is a little easier to follow and promises a detoxified and rejuvenated you. It also talks about how it will decrease your appetite and stabilize your metabolism (I think that is what the cayenne pepper is for). You are also supposed to have an abundance of energy. PROS - You’ll have regular bowel movements
- You will lose approximately 10 pounds in 10 days.
CONS - You starve your body for days on end. This not healthy.
- You are losing water weight and the possible side effects are extreme.
- The diet is too restrictive for most people.
DIET AND NUTRITION I don’t see how this diet could even nourish anyone. The body is made to adapt to certain situations, but in this intentional deprivation of your body, I think more harm is done. EXPENSE The e-book that implements the secrets of The Master Cleanse Diet can be yours for only $27 or you can upgrade and receive additional materials for $37. CONCLUSION The Master Cleanse Diet is not easy to follow. It takes extreme willpower in order to stick with the restrictiveness of this diet. I, for one, would never be able to follow it. Besides it just sounds nasty.
