Face Exercises for Anti-Aging
Face exercises are becoming a common practice for those who want to tighten up their skin naturally. These exercises combined with good nutrition and hydration can make you look younger and healthier.
What Causes Sagging Facial Skin?
As opposed to the rest of the body, facial muscles are attached directly to the skin. As you age the collagen in your skin degrades making it thinner. This loss of elasticity can cause your skin to droop. In addition, the muscle tone in the muscles of your face begins to fade as you get older. Face exercises can firm up these muscles. There are also behavioral and environmental factors involved in aging the skin. Lifestyle factors that affect the skin are: Smoking Poor nutrition Stress and anxiety Lack of sleep Lack of exercise
Benefits of Face Exercises
There are 57 muscles in the face and neck that are all inter-related. Performing neck and facial exercises that target these muscles will tone and strengthen them. This will cause the skin to tighten around them resulting in a more youthful appearance.Facial exercising improves blood flow to the skin providing nutrients and hydration to the area. These nutrients help your collagen in the skin to build and strengthen. This will slow down the aging process.
