The benefits of drinking water with weight loss are endless. Our cells need water to survive; without water our cells would shrink and lose their ability to function. Almost seventy-five percent of our body is water.

Water is a vital part of transportation of vitamins and nutrients; it carries it to the body organs and cells that need it. It also helps dilute toxins in our body before they are excreted out. Water also help aides in digestion so we are able to break down our food and convert it to energy so we can run, play or just sit there and do nothing.

If you do not drink enough water and become dehydrated, your blood is thicker and doesn’t circulate very well. Your body has to work much harder to pump the blood from the heart to various organ systems throughout the body. The benefits of drinking water are many, so don't forget to drink water daily.

When you do not get enough water, your immune system is unable to fight off viruses and bacteria. The white blood cells don’t have enough water to sustain the energy to fight them off. Guess what you are more susceptible to getting sick.

So what does this have to do with losing weight? It is simple; when your body doesn’t have enough water, you are tired and lethargic without any energy. You don’t move and your metabolism slows down. This means that your body is not going to burn calories. Guess what, water is a natural appetite suppressant also. Drink a glass of water with a meal and you will get a feeling of fullness. That means you are less likely to overeat.

So how do we drink more water? Here are some tips to get of the benefits of drinking water:

-Drink a glass of water while you wait for your coffee to brew. If you don’t need caffeine, try drinking warm water in the morning. -Always have a bottle of water with you. Sip on it. -Right before lunch drink a glass of water. You will be less likely to overeat. -Try to drink flavored water, but watch out for the ones that are loaded up on calories. -If you consume caffeine remember to drink extra water because caffeine is a diuretic. The big thing to remember for utilizing water in your weight loss, is to remember is to drink a lot of it all day.

Keep plenty of water when you are exercising because you lose a lot of water when you sweat.
